Doug has nearly 30 years’ board-level experience in international listed and private equity-backed companies, including considerable time spent in the HR software and services industry with Ceridian. He is also a Chartered Accountant and has significant M&A experience, including 3 successful company sales.
Doug is Candidate.ID's company Chair, appointed January 2020, leading the board to achieve the successful execution of the business plan.
Doug is a huge sports fan and a keen traveller who always aims to visit the Scottish Highlands once a year. He is also a family man, and with two teenage daughters, he has become an expert taxi driver with a lot of knowledge of shopping centres! His family also has a Vizsla puppy called Olive who they love walking in the Hampshire countryside.

Adam began his career in recruitment in 1999 with the company that is now Hudson, before working in recruitment marketing with Havas, in human resource services at PwC and as a director at Norman Broadbent plc. He holds a BA from the University of Strathclyde and post-graduate qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and American Board of NLP.
Adam is responsible for the ongoing development and execution of Candidate.ID’'s business plan and entirely committed to making sustainable, automated talent pipelines available to the world's most sophisticated employers and agencies. You will find him talking about this online and on stage every week day. In addition, Adam intends to continue creating rewarding careers for those who share Candidate.ID’s vision, in Glasgow and other important locations.
Adam played rugby for 30 years and now enjoys squash, Motown, swimming with his kids, listening to non-fiction book summaries on Blinkist, watching Bloomberg Technology and watching boxing analysis.
Co-Founder & Chief Revenue Officer
Scot McRae trained in marketing at P&G before founding his own marketing automation consultancy, working with many of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies. Co-founded Candidate.ID with Adam Gordon in 2016, launching the product formally in 2017 for Fortune 500 and equivalent employers, RPOs and sophisticated staffing companies globally.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Scot combines strong demand generation skills with international sales experience to build the qualified opportunities required to meet Candidate.ID's ambitious growth objectives.
First and foremost it's family. Scot is a dad and a husband and those things most certainly anchor and bring balance to his life. Then it's about adventure.
Chief Technology Officer
Mike is an experienced technology sector leader, previously CTO and Chief Executive Officer at Graham Technology which grew from a bedroom in Glasgow’s south side to £25m turnover, employing 400 people and exit to Sword Group in 2008. He went on to become Chief Operating Officer at Sword managing a team of 600 internationally, responsible for £100m turnover. Since then, he has worked in a range of start-ups and multi-nationals, including in the recruitment sector. Most recently, he spent around 2 years as General Manager at Leidos’s global airports division.
Mike is the Chief Technology Officer who is focused on delivering performant, secure and maintainable software solutions which add the greatest value to our customers.
Mike likes rugby, a bit of gardening and skiing. However, as he has two teenagers still at home, he finds himself as a part-time taxi driver for a fair amount of his time.
Chief Financial Officer
Jane is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Grant Thornton and has spent 13 years working in the technology sector. She has spent the past 5 years as CFO of an AIM listed international software company. She has gained invaluable experience having undertaken multiple acquisitions, disposals and fundraisers.
Jane is responsible for all aspects of the company’s finance function, including leading the evaluation of new international markets. She is working closing with the Candidate.ID CEO Adam Gordon on acquisitions and investment opportunities.
When not at work Jane enjoys music and renovating her house.
Christine has almost 20 years professional experience having gained her latest marketing qualifications from the CIM. Her background includes marketing roles both agency and client-side before a transition to recruitment technology.
Having been with Candidate.ID from the beginning, Christine has worked on sourcing projects with international clients such as IQVIA, Mondelez, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. She has 20 years' professional experience and her background includes marketing roles, both agency and client-side, before a transition to recruitment technology. She is now back to her roots heading up all Marketing initiatives for Candidate.ID.
When she's not in the office you will find Christine in the gym, spending time with her family, or planning her next holiday!
